PradoRey 3 Barricas 2010, D.O. Rueda

Pradorey 3 Barricas 2010, extraordinary white wine from Rueda. 100% Verdejo grapes with 9 months in oak barrels. Complex wine, full of exotic aromas. Aged over its lees for 9 months in those same casks with daily batonnage. Very complex white wine, one of the favourite of the critics.

Sommeliers recommendation:  Fish, seafood or rice dishes.

Neal Martin´s Tasting note (The wine Advocate) for 2009: "Although I found Pradorey’s entry-level white did not make the grade, the 2009 PR 3 Barricas is worth mentioning, though this is from Rueda not Ribera del Duero. This 100% Verdejo has an upfront, peachy, tropical nose. The palate is very smooth and harmonious with a veneer of vanilla-tinged oak, yet the finish is fresh and well-defined with pleasing almond and coconut notes. Drink now-2016."
